Pacific Coast Artists is a decorative painting group that was formed in 2001 and affiliated with the Society of Decorative Painters at the national level. Our chapter members are a group of fun-loving artists whose painting skills range from beginner to advanced. Throughout the year we learn different painting techniques, methods and styles from talented teachers.
Our teachers instruct in various mediums; acrylic, watercolor, oil, fabric dye, metallic, mixed media, and the list goes on. As individuals, we all have our favorite surfaces and our classes and seminars provide an opportunity to discover more painting surfaces…such as, wood, metal, fabric, glass, porcelain, canvas, furniture, even walls! We say” If it doesn’t move…Paint it!”
We meet on the third Saturdays of each month at 10 AM via ZOOM and in person at:

Our Chapter strives to
- serve the growing numbers of painters
- recruit and expose new members/ teachers/ businesses to the SDP and its’ benefits
- make art accessible and affordable
- complement the benefits of other local chapters
- encourage a wide variety of painting techniques & mediums
We look for local community outreach programs and participate in them. We have participated in outreach programs such as painting Treasure Boxes for the Shriners Hospital and South County Outreach programs to help feed the hungry and homeless in Orange County.
